About

Rachel Lee, LMFT

I am a native New Yorker, happy to have returned back home after living in Oregon and Massachusetts for many years.  During my professional career, I have found my niche as an integrative therapist.  Through use of mental health therapy, connection with the body through yoga practice and mindfulness, paired with nutrition, you can yield a greater sense of balance in your life.

Mindfulness practice in my daily life, my personal yoga practice, as well as the use of food for mood, has given me balance and a way to regulate emotions.  When I am not working, you can find me exploring the Adirondack mountains.  I am recharged while in the forest, taking pictures, hiking/camping, observing wildlife, and spending time with my husband, daughter, and our beloved dogs.

Experience

My clinical experience is robust, as I have worked in a variety of settings including a school setting, day treatment center, outpatient clinics, in clients’ homes providing in-home family therapy, in a shelter for homeless families, and on a college campus.  Most recently, I spent many years in a large national organization both as a therapist and as an intake supervisor.  I have gained a great deal of experience with outreach into the community and connecting with various mental health systems, schools, wrap-around teams of professionals, and collaborating with multiple service providers.

My training has prepared me for working with individuals across the lifespan, couples, children, and families in any context with the full range of clinical disorders.  With an engrained passion to help others with 20+ years of experience in the helping profession, I am committed to social justice issues and assisting clients to discover their strengths, voice, skills, and unique abilities.  â€‹Effective presentation skills and conducting trainings to large groups has been part of my professional experiences.
